Below is a variety of projects spanning 15 years from 2007 to the present. 

Retail and Childcare Development projects in Queensland

  • Lead Childcare Halpine Drive, Mango Hill


  • Subdivision of one 15,000m2 lot into 3 lots.

    230 place Childcare Centre and Swim School.

    Operational Works approval and connection of services.

    DA approval of 5,500m2 Childcare centre.

    Design and delivery of 230 place Childcare and swim school.

    Opened in August 2018, delivered on time and budget.

  • Nambour Childcare Project, Sunshine Coast

     

  • 125 place Childcare Centre

    Reviewing design, DA lodged, delivery 2025.

    2,274m2 site code assessable for 110 place Childcare Centre. Opposite 1700 student Junior and Senior College. Development programme in process. Centre to open and trade January 2025. Estimated Asset Value $8 million.

  • Springfield Grande Shopping Centre – Brisbane

  • Shopping Centre anchored by Drakes, Medical & Pharmacy, Snap Fitness, Stella Rossa Cafe, Sushi Hyo, Kebabs, Hair and Beauty, Bottle Shop, Service Station and Jax Tyres & Auto

    220 place Childcare Centre and Swim School.

    Opening June 2025.

  • Moggill Village Project, Brisbane

  • Neighbourhood Shopping Centre

    Development of 22,000 sqm site to include large IGA Supermarket, 500sqm Anytime Fitness, Childcare, plus1, 330sqm of specialty retailers including Newsagency, Australia Post, Bakery, Subway, Medical Centre, Dentist, Offices and other national retailers. Approved August 2013. 

    AFLs executed for funding.

    Prime affluent catchment where Supermarket will trade well, Coles relocation and “upsize large format store” from Bellbowrie Shopping Centre to this new site.

    Late 2019 revised DA submitted and approved for a full line 3400m2 Coles Supermarket anchored Shopping Centre and specialty retail. Estimated asset value $45M.

    The development is open and trading .

  • Chinchilla, Central QLD

    Woolworths Neighbourhood Shopping Centre(A)

    and Caltex Travel Centre (B)


  • (A) NSC Development of 10,000sqm site to include 2800sqm Woolworths Supermarket and 1000sqm of specialty retailers including Reject Shop, Bottle shop, Subway, QGC and other national retailers.

    Project completed November 2012.

    Excellent market profile with resources boom and economic growth. The Centre is now open and trading above forecasted revenue.

    The Asset was sold approximately $20M.


    (B) Travel Centre-National tenants include Caltex, KFC, Subway, The Coffee Club, Sunshine Kebabs and offices tenancies on upper level.

    Site was sold by Anderson and Associates in 2014 for $10.5 million

  • Southside, Gympie QLD 

  • Woolworths Neighbourhood Shopping Centre

    Development of 22,200sqm site to include 3,200sqm Woolworths Supermarket, 2,000sqm of specialty retailers and medical centre. Specialisation requirement to redesign the layout on difficult terrain and tenancy mix.

    Approval obtained from Cooloola Shire Council and TMR.

    Critical milestone securing the AFL with Woolworths and leasing a minimum 50% specialty tenants required funding.

    Estimated Asset Value of $25M.

    The project was sold by our group in 2007.

    The centre was built by AHC and sold for $38 million with the centre and Woolworths Supermarket and speciality trading well above expectations.

  • Lead Childcare Kinsellas Rd West, Mango Hill

  • 125 place Childcare Centre and Neighbourhood Shopping Centre Shopping Centre subdivision and development into 2 lots.

    Operational Works approval and connection of services.

    DA approval for Childcare and Shopping Centre lots.

    Design and delivery of 125 place

    Childcare and Shopping Centre.

    Opened in December 2019, delivered on time and budget.

  • Nundah Village, Brisbane 

  • Retail tenancies: Café 63 and Freedom Suites - opened 2018

  • SE QLD Shopping Centre Project

  • Full Line Supermarket and Retail development underway

  • Pelican Waters, Sunshine Coast Childcare Project

  • 3,102sqm vacant land parcel with DA lodged for a MCU code assessable Childcare Centre.

    Well located on the main thoroughfare next to the Shopping Centre. Concept design, project management and development including a new development of a Childcare Centre for 128 places.

    Approved.

    Construction programme 22 weeks, completion 3rd Qtr 2017.

    The Centre is open and trading as “Greenleaves”.

    Estimated Asset Value of $10 million.

  • 11 Depot Road, Deagon QLD

  • Value add component to an existing 7 Eleven Service Station and

    Car Wash.

    Approximate land area for development of 1,000sqm surplus or vacant land.

    An Agreement for Lease for the first Drive Thru Donut King in Australia which was executed.

    An MCUDA–Impact assessable application lodged to BCC and approved.

    ASX listed tenant covenant with Retail Food Group added value or currency to fund the construction of the retail asset. Development Approval was granted in 2013 with the development programme set and completed with minimal variations, on budget and on time.

    The builder was S28Constructions. In 2018, Hungry Jacks replaced Donut King as the Drive Thru tenant and are open and trading well.

  • Parkhurst, Rockhampton, QLD

  • Woolworths Neighbourhood Shopping Centre

    Development Approval on a 3 hectare site to include 3,800sqm Woolworths Supermarket, 2,000sqm specialty retailers including medical centre, petrol and fast food.

    Income secured via leasing of anchor tenants Woolworths, Service Station, BWS, Bakery, Chemist, Doctors and others.

    Facilitation and implementation of programme for planning approval.

    Co-ordinate tenants and consultants for full-line Woolworths Supermarket, BWS, Petrol, Chemist and other specialty shops.

    The project was sold in 2008. The construction of the centre was delayed due to the GFC.

    The centre is completed and trading. Woolworths Supermarket turnover is in the excellent range.

  • Pumistone, Caboolture, QLD

Pumicestone Shopping Centre is located in the suburb of Caboolture on Brisbanes northside. It has population growth well above the national average, just off the M1, close to train stations, large state and secondary schools and childcares. The Shopping Centre is anchored by Drakes a well-respected and experienced national Supermarket operator, full line offer of 2800m2, 220m2 Doctors , 400m2 Chemist Discount Centre, Stella Rossa, SG Bakery Café, Champions Bottle Shop, Nails and Beauty, Sushi, Empire Kebabs and Hungry Jacks.
